Windsurf Development Camp 2027

We’re heading down again in the January school holidays for our annual development camp. Kids from as young as three through to adults are welcome to come and learn to windsurf with us over 4-5 days.

How the coaching works
Beginners start at Crooked River at Gerroa on the high tide. As you progress, we move to the beautiful flat water at Minnamurra, and then on to Sanctuary Point. We’ll have a jet ski and a safety boat on the water.

We sail on the days the wind and weather allow. If we can’t run coaching on a particular day, parents are responsible for their kids.

The fun stuff
It’s all about everyone getting together and having fun, especially the kids. There’s a movie night and a barbecue night, plus windsurfing tricks, jumping off the bridge, playing in the sand, boogie boarding, surfing all of it.

There’ll be prizes, and we’ll release an end-of-camp video. Photos and videos will also be available through a web-based portal for anyone who’d like them.

Where we’re staying
We’re blocking out sites at the Gerroa Campsite so everyone’s together. There’s a bouncy pillow, an on-site pool, and barbecue areas so everyone can self-cater and keep costs down. We’ve chosen these dates on purpose. It’s shoulder season, so pricing is a bit lower, and there’s plenty of availability in the last two weeks of January.

Gear
We’ve bought kids’ gear in the right sizes, and it’s available to hire for $10 a week.

Good to know
An adult guardian must come along with anyone under 18, to help support the running of the camp.
The camp is capped at 35 people this year, so get in quickly.
