Who will be the most Wavesailingest?

It’s back!

The NSW Wavesailing Association (NSWWA) will be heading back to Flat Rock, Ballina between the 27th and 29th of September for The Wavesailing State of Origin II. Once again the best windsurfers from NSW and Queensland will be meeting to determine whether the north or south of wavesailing is the greatest.

Last year we had incredible waves, many competitors and organiser left considering them the best they came across in 2013. This year, the event has been moved forward by two weeks to get even better conditions.

2013 saw NSW take out the title but Shane Finigan took out individual honours before going on the have a dominant season. This year, Andrew Morris has taken out the first event followed by Michael Westra and Duncan Osbourne, and all three will be looking to do one better than Finigan at the State of Origin event.

Flat Rock Tent Park has lined up a great deal for competitors allocating some beach side spaces for competitors.

We have also received some great support once again from our sponsors. WindSurfnSnow will present as the season sponsor, while Ballina Toyota, Lennox Head Pub, Greef Clothing and Black Project Fins have jumped on board for 2014. SurfFX have also renewed their generous support for 2014.

Closer to the date we will release the sign-on times and details, so keep your eyes on nswwavesailing.org and don’t forget to follow us via Facebook, Twitter and Youtube.
